Obi-Rakhmat Grotto and Paltau Waterfall. One-day Tour

🕗 08:00 – 10:20 | Transfer to Paltau Region (100 km)

• Start your day early as your driver and mountain guide meet you at the hotel in Tashkent.

• Begin your scenic journey toward the Chimgan Mountains, traveling along a wide highway that leads to the stunning Charvak Reservoir in about an hour.

• As the road ascends, enjoy picturesque views while winding through the foothills. Upon reaching the reservoir, we will park the vehicle and begin our walk.

🕥 10:30 – 11:30 | Hike to Obi-Rahmat Grotto & Paltau Waterfall

• This marks the beginning of the active part of your journey.

• Start with a scenic walk along a dirt road leading to the Obi-Rahmat Grotto (approx. 2.5 km). Along the way, take in breathtaking natural surroundings, including panoramic views of the Chatkal River and the dramatic rock formations of Okhotnichiy Mountain.

• Continue your route by turning into the Paltau River gorge. After a few kilometers, you will arrive at striking rock formations, signaling your approach toward the waterfall area.

🕦 11:30 – 12:00 | Obi-Rahmat Grotto Discovery

• A rocky ridge leads you to the entrance of the Obi-Rahmat Grotto. Here, you’ll find visible traces of archaeological excavations, offering a glimpse into the lives of people who lived over 50,000 years ago.

• As you explore further, climb the ridge to uncover two hidden caves, adding a sense of mystery and adventure to the experience.

🕛 12:00 – 13:00 | Trek to Paltau Waterfall

• After exploring the grotto, begin your descent toward the Paltau River bed, followed by a trek upstream (approx. 1.5 km).

• This section of the trail is narrow and steep in parts, requiring focus and careful footing. With the guidance of your expert guide, you will navigate small natural obstacles along the way.

• At the end of the trail, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the 38-meter-high Paltau Waterfall 🌊

• Take this time to rest, relax, and cool down, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature.

🕐 13:00 – 14:00 | Lunch at the Waterfall

• Enjoy a well-deserved lunch by the Paltau Waterfall, surrounded by refreshing natural beauty.

• Take time to capture stunning photos with the waterfall as your backdrop, or even experience a refreshing ‘shower’ under the cascading water. For the adventurous, a quick dip in the cool waters adds to the unforgettable experience.

🕑 14:00 – 15:30 | Return Trek

• Begin your return journey by retracing the same scenic route back to the vehicle.

• Take in the landscapes once more as you descend, enjoying a more relaxed pace after the adventure.

🕒 15:30 – 18:00 | Transfer to Tashkent

• Sit back and relax as you drive back to Tashkent, returning to your accommodation.

• This marks the end of your memorable tour to the Obi-Rahmat Grotto and Paltau Waterfall.
